Hello Folks
I hope you are all keeping well, avoiding various winter bugs and keeping warm (as the weather is still chilly)!
We have some interesting scheduled GRES meetings coming up in March, as follows:
Tuesday 4th – Bob Gibbs will be joining us to tell us about the “Berlin Telephone Tap“. In a world of intrigue and espionage, this promises to be an interesting evening and definitely falls into the ‘something different’ category. This will take place at our usual venue of the Emmanuel Church Hall, 55 Windmill Street, Gravesend (from 7.45pm).
Wednesday 12th – At the time of writing, unfortunately there is currently no speaker lined up for the ZOOM meeting hosted by Lutterworth Railway Society/SEERS/GRES. If I hear anything further before the 12th, I will of course let you know.
Thursday 20th – Graeme Gleaves will be joining us to tell us about “4732: The 4SUB at Margate“. Labelled as ‘the train that took you home’, the 4SUBs and the later 4EPBs, formed the backbone of local commuter lines across the Southern Region until the 1980s (4SUBs) and 1990s (4EPBs). This will take place at our usual venue of the Emmanuel Church Hall, 55 Windmill Street, Gravesend (from 7.45pm).
For those who like their model railway exhibitions, please note:
